When you book a headshot session with Irierootsini Photography in Sydney, you're getting more than just polished portraits. You’re stepping into a guided experience designed to help you look confident, professional and authentic. Whether your session is for LinkedIn, acting, modelling, editorial or personal branding, we tailor every step to suit your goals.
We shoot from our portrait studio in Marsden Park, located in North West Sydney within the City of Blacktown in Western Sydney. The studio is easily accessible via Richmond Road and the M7 motorway, and is only a short drive from Schofields Station and a variety of bus routes. We also offer outdoor and on-location sessions across greater Sydney, including environmental headshots or editorial-style portraits at your workplace or chosen setting.
Session Types Available
We offer four types of headshot sessions designed to suit different professional and creative goals. Whether you’re updating your LinkedIn profile, refreshing your company website, or creating editorial-style portraits for PR and media, we’ll help you find the right session. Choose from our studio, outdoor, editorial, or corporate team options, each tailored to your style, industry, and branding needs.
Studio Headshot Session
Shot in our Marsden Park studio with clean lighting, seamless backdrops and a live view monitor. Ideal for LinkedIn, business profiles and formal portraits.
Outdoor Headshot Session
Taken in natural light at scenic locations across Sydney. These sessions are more relaxed and perfect for creatives, entrepreneurs or lifestyle-driven branding.
Editorial Portrait & Headshot Session
Designed for creative professionals, artists, models or performers. This session includes environmental portraits or environmental headshots on location, or creative studio setups with themed backdrops, colour gels, fog effects and dramatic lighting. Ideal for branding campaigns or magazine-style features.
Corporate & Team Headshot Session
On-location headshots for businesses and organisations. These sessions ensure consistency across staff profiles and include group photos. Suitable for 5 to 25 team members or more.

How We Prepare Your Session
Before your session, you’ll receive a short pre-session questionnaire to help us understand your needs. Once you’re booked, we’ll also send you a curated selection of headshot pose examples. You can choose the ones that best reflect your personality, professional goals or creative vision.
Your pose selections also help us determine the ideal lighting setup and guide the creative direction of the session. For outdoor headshot sessions, this includes advising on the best time of day and location to utilise natural light. For studio sessions, we adjust lighting accordingly based on the mood and function of the portrait.
We offer a variety of backdrop options:
White or light grey for corporate or professional branding
Charcoal grey or black for dramatic or artistic looks
Themed or coloured backdrops for creative sessions

During Your Headshot Session: What Happens on the Day
During the shoot, our team creates a calm, focused environment. We often play soft music to help ease nerves and build rapport with your photographer. Our approach is collaborative. We guide you through subtle adjustments in posture, chin position, and expression. With the live monitor available, you’ll be able to see each image as it’s captured and adjust your pose or expression in real time.
Each individual headshot session typically lasts about 45 minutes, during which we capture 40 to 60 images from 5 to 8 styled poses. For corporate and team sessions, we work efficiently to capture 2 to 4 styled poses per person, along with group and team photos that maintain a consistent and professional look across all staff members.
Our goal is to make every session relaxed and productive, ensuring you feel confident and represented at your best throughout the process.
After Your Headshot Session: What Happens Next
After the session, you’ll receive a private online gallery with all the images from your shoot. Based on the session type you’ve booked, you can then make your final selections for retouching.
For individual sessions, you’ll choose five professionally retouched images from your favourites. For corporate and team sessions, each team member typically selects two final images, with additional options available for group or company-wide branding use.
All final images are delivered in high-resolution JPEG format, ready for both print and web use.
