Back in May 2021, I had a family portrait photography session with the Jayasundera Family from the City of Blacktown, New South Wales, in which they availed our Premium Portrait Package. In this photo session, I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family on two themed backdrops and a plain black backdrop. As you will see from the photos below, they also brought along their pet dog, Rory. As I mentioned in my previous blog titled "Sydney Family Portrait Photography Session with the Dineros Family from North Kellyville", this is another good example of what types of poses can be achieved from a family of three. Come take a look at what I have created using themed backdrops for these portraits.
As you can see, themed backdrops can create a very different atmosphere than just a regular plain coloured backdrop does. You can also see how I played around with the studio lights to compliment the pose and the themed backdrop, especially the photo where the couple are sitting down and facing each other. The wife is looking at her husband playing the guitar. At first glance, you might have thought that the portrait session was outdoors in an orchard in the middle of summer. But in fact, the portrait was taken inside our Western Sydney studio, here in Marsden Park. See how I simulated sunlight coming from the themed backdrop to convince people that the photo was actually taken outdoors? That particular lighting setup is explained on my blog titled "5 Themed Backdrops for Studio Portraits & Headshots".
Now that you have had a glimpse of what themed backdrops can be like for family portraits, why not give it a go! You can Book Online or you can give us a call for more details.
